Campaign for Road improvements gathers momentum

Conservative Councillors from North Shropshire joined Owen Paterson MP and Minister for Transport John Hayes MP to make the case for dualling of the A5 Oswestry bypass and making improvements to the A483 at Llanymynech and Pant,

Local business owners attended the event to highlight the importance of improved road links for Oswestry, this is the second Ministerial visit to Oswestry within a year, a real endorsment for close working between MPs and Local Conservative Councillors. The Minister left Oswestry with the full facts and realising just how important getting an improved road network is for the economic growth of the Oswestry area. Without such  local partnership working between our MP and Councillors, such exposure to top Whitehall officials would be impossible. Green or Lib Dem members cannot achieve such exposure or apply pressure to central government
